Primary Care Recommendation

• First Wash Dry Clean Only: It is highly recommended to dry clean the garment for its first wash to set the rich dyes and protect the intricate embroidery work.

Gentle Hand Wash (Subsequent Washes)

• Detergent: Use a mild liquid detergent specifically designed for silks or delicates, or a gentle baby shampoo. Avoid harsh washing powders, bleach, or aggressive stain removers.

• Washing Method: Wash gently in cold water using a quick dip-and-rinse technique. Do not soak the fabric for more than 3 to 5 minutes, and avoid scrubbing, rubbing, or wringing.

• Separate Wash: Always wash separately from other clothing items to prevent the delicate fabric and flared gathers from catching or snagging.

Drying & Ironing

• Drying: Press excess water out gently between clean towels. Flat dry in a shaded area away from direct sunlight, which can fade colors and weaken delicate fibers.

• Ironing: Iron on a low-heat or silk setting on the reverse side (inside out). Use a thin cotton press cloth over embroidered areas to protect the threadwork.

• Storage: Store folded inside a breathable cotton or muslin garment cover.
